About me

Introduction
My journey toward becoming a therapist began in a very personal place.
After a difficult relationship breakdown, I entered therapy for the first time — and it changed everything. I learned more about myself in that process than I had in years, and I became genuinely excited by the idea of helping others in the same way I had been helped.
That experience planted a seed. What had started as a period of pain became the beginning of a vocation.
From Creative Arts to Therapy
My background isn't a traditional one. I spent years working in the creative arts — a world I loved, but one I eventually began to feel less fulfilled by. As I searched for something more meaningful, I started to realise that therapy might be the answer.
I began my counselling training in London, moved to Melbourne in 2018, and completed my Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy at Cairnmillar Institute in 2023. I've experienced a number of significant life transitions in the process and what I've learned about myself and the world is invaluable.
Why Emotion-Focused Therapy?
When I discovered Emotion-Focused Therapy, it simply made sense to me. I believe that what drives individual human behaviour — from the most mundane daily decisions to the biggest life changes — starts with how we feel. And when people come to therapy, it's almost always because of emotional pain. Something doesn't feel right. Something feels uncomfortable, stuck, or overwhelming.
EFT offers a clear and compassionate way of understanding emotions — what they are, why we have them, and how to work with them rather than against them. The techniques feel natural and safe, and the results can be genuinely transformative. It's an approach I believe in deeply, both professionally and personally.
My approach
In our work together, you will always be in the driver's seat. I follow your lead, move at your pace, and tailor each session to what you need in that moment.
I bring warmth, curiosity and a genuine interest in who you are — not just the problem that brought you here. I believe the relationship between therapist and client is itself a powerful part of the healing process, and I work hard to make sure you feel safe, understood and never judged.
